“Ernie doesn’t have trucks, just an old Dodge Caravan for pick up and delivery” !  Is Dick suspicious ?  You bet !!! :-|

And that’s a cheap mustache Sawtooth’s wearing. Who does he think he’s fooling with it?

Grimm is nervous!

Is he nervours they are going to take down Tracy? Or is he nervous that Sawtooth might find out he is now penniless

About the time he is trying to take a chunk out of Tracys neck, Tracy will jam a big loaf of bread into his open mouth.

obviously if Tracy knows something’s wrong ahead of time he would simply have the drop on Sawtooth and game’s over. Butttt…that horse wager would seem to have to play into this, so….

Does this mean Sawtooth and Grimm have already wreaked havoc at Ernie’s so that the real driver won’t show up, too, and complicate things?

Bet Grimm betrays Sawtooth to save his own neck….

Dear kindly Sergeant Sawtooth. I’ve got something to say. You’ll never beat Dick Tracy. You’ll never get your way. Tell me now, Sawtooth, what are you to do? Gee, Officer Sawtooth! Saw you!

Hoping Tess doesn’t get bit in the struggle; I fear that she will be some sort of casualty.

Sawtooth’s cunning plan is coming into focus: They will get “lost” on the way to the banquet, not arrive in time and Tracy will die from disappointment! Gasp! How will Tracy get out of this one?!?!??!

Tess is Grimm’s bookie, so that changes everything…lol

And why didn’t Tracy call Ernie’s to see if the event was real ?

But, that would ruin the “drama” and make for a very short arc…

I’m sure Grimm is nervous, but I don’t think that his hand is shaking – I think he is trying to covertly indicate to Tess in the window that Sawtooth sitting next to him requires her special attention. Look carefully at Grimm’s eyes – they are rolled sideways in Sawtooth’s direction, as if he’s trying to signal Tess and make sure Sawtooth doesn’t see him do it.

Tracy should next be telling everyone to hide and to call the police.

“We’re here for the 300 loaves of bread.”

“Three,,, HUNDRED?”

Is that a look of suspicion in Tracy’s eyes?

Tracy needs to stop “loafing” and get his side arm.

Why would Sawtooth and Grimm be dressed as cops while driving a truck from Ernies? Looks to me like Sawtooth’s plan is not very consistent.

Wait – Sawtooth is working for Ernie’s? LOL j/k

Grimm is gonna “grab the dough and run”… LITERALLY! But “crackshot Tess” will take him down with a bullet to the buns fired from “OL’ PINK!”

That is when Grimm will “roll over” on Sawtooth

Ernie uses uniformed drivers?

Sawtooth’s cheap disguise makes him look like Wilford Brimley, sans glasses. maybe he’ll deliver some diabetes meds. Wanna bet Dicko prevails, maybe a Hansel -Gretel oven scenario?

Yikes! Friday the 13th came on a Friday this month!

Hmm. Seems as though Dick (panel 2) was not expecting a “truck,” especially not a big one with two suspicious-looking characters in the cab. Sawtooth (yeah, I saw right through that disguise!) is keeping an Evil Eye on Grimm, who does look a tad shaky as he goes to undo his seatbelt.

Not sure who’s going to melt down first, but Saturday should extend the suspense forward to a big Sunday Showdown (whoever wins or loses this round)….

If even the crooks have heard of it, that must be some sourdough!
