Since Stephan is doing politics, I will copy a comment I made in Non Sequitur regarding the Kremlin Kandidate’s government.

When the Soviet Union fell apart, it was replaced by what came to be known as a Kleptocracy (Greek kleptos = thief and kratos = authority). The United States now has the world’s first Prodosiocracy (Greek prodosia = treason).

Pig is right. The joke’s on them!

That is definitely a LOL punchline. :D

A politician saying I will help ranks right up there with the alien saying We come in peace.

But, then again, they didn’t vote for him anyway!

Here’s yet another politician who sincerely believes “God helps those who help themselves”! :D

So sadly so often true to life.

I liked this cartoon when it was funny. Pastis, you ought to stick with what you were once good at.

Many years ago, I read the results of a study where people at each socioeconomic level were asked if they had enough money. The poor and the middle class predictably said “no,” but so did the rich. No matter how much you have, the human tendency is to always want more.

I thought the thumbs-up was subtle…

When I was a kid I was taught that the government worked for us; that we were the leaders and they were the servants. As I grew up I learned that sadly this was not the case, and likely never was.

Our “Congressperson” is a gay Oriental school teacher. He is GREAT.

But that’s how politicians are!

Taxation without representation is tyranny.

Congress is corrupted on both sides. And that’s how it’s going to stay until everyone realizes that they’ve been fooled and do something about it.

When you combine the wealth inequality in America ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPKKQnijnsM ) with the legalization of bribery by Citizens United, it’s no wonder that elected officials are only working for those that can afford them.

I keep wishing we could get a third party organized and viable before the last minute. I honestly believe people do want a change. People voted for Jimmy Carter because they wanted something different than the same old politician. They voted for Obama because he promised change. They voted for Trump because he was a businessman and not an old boy politician (a lot of his problem today as he doesn’t play the same game they do.).

People want change. It will take a clean sweep and fresh blood and thoughts in there. I am independent and loyal to neither party. Change starts in the primaries which too many of us ignore and we wait until the primaries and are stuck with scoundrel 1 and rascal 2 and it is too late.

You have to give Pastis credit for being subtle. The Blob is green, not orange.

And the moral of the story is that the people re-elected the Congressman into off at the midterm elections.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a congress person in your pocket? If I win the lottery, I’m going to buy one!

Hey, Pig get’s it! Goat is a Stiff-necked Fuddy-duddy. Rat’s stories always amuse and always have a neat, perverse, moral. Write more, Rat!

At some point we HAVE to stop with the hyperbole about Congress. It’s a good part of what’s led us to our current sad state of affairs.
