We had a yearling Holstein bull, easily a half ton. TERRIFIED of water from a hose.

Now we know to take firecrackers if we ever time travel back to the time of Tyrannosaurus rex — assuming information from a comic strip is accurate, of course.

It’s making him think of meteors. He’s always had this bad premonition concerning meteors.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall and also the harder they hit.

I use to have a HUGE Rotti, scared the heck out of everyone that came into the yard. One little firecracker and we wouldn’t see him for three days.

Seriously, folks, keep your pets in during the fireworks displays. The flash-bangs that can be painful to human ears are terrifying to our animal companions.

In this world, explosions mean different things to different people: some are able to watch and enjoy, some have to duck and pray.

I want a law that all fireworks must be SILENT. Bombs bursting in air are bad enough for humans, but animals understandably freak out at it.

P.S. I can do without the toxic substances and heavy metals that rain down on us from fireworks displays.

My dog is seven years old. Just in the last year he has become terrified of fireworks, thunderstorms, etc. No idea why.

Most of the dogs I’ve known have been afraid of thunder and fireworks. It doesn’t seem any stranger to me when I think of how many people are afraid of spiders, even though very few of them are venomous to humans.

Those little arms are very muscular with long sharp talons to hold on to the female during coitus.
