Yep. She is thinking about the mortgage. Responsibilities of home ownership. It is daunting.

No sense in getting buyer’s remorse now! You’ve done it. It’s yours. Enjoy it!

Until you sign the contract, you can back out. As can the sellers. Our buyers took so long to sign the contract that it was getting to be a joke. Weeks and weeks and weeks. And guess what? Someone came along without an agent and asked me if the house was still for sale (sign was still in the yard). I said yes. I showed them the house then and there and they made an offer HIGHER than what we had. I dumped the first people. You snooze, you lose.

Buyer’s remorse is not nice. Especially when it’s about such a large purchase as a house. The good part is that it won’t last long, once you’re in it and working on it to make it your own. :)

It is all about adventure: the promise of something new, ready or not, for better or for worse. I heard that last phrase somewhere….

Remember when my wife and I bought our first house—and FEELING THE EXACT SAME WAY and had the same feeling EVERY TIME it happened ! ! !

You don’t own a house. The bank owns you.

Yeah why do they call it home ownership when you are really just renting to own from the bank and praying you live long enough to actually own and maybe keep it up well enough to be able to will to your kids without making them have to sell it because of becoming dilapidated.

I don’t know what she’s worried about. If they divorce, she’ll get the house and he’ll pay for it !

I got that reaction when we sold our house, got rid of the furniture and moved into the RV. Now, just a year later, we have decided that we don’t like the RV lifestyle and we don’t have a house to go back to.

Now they will learn that “house-broke” does not just apply to puppies.

Kinda like I feel about the new car I just leased. Got a killer deal and it’s just what I wanted but second or third day in and I’m having some “buyers remorse” even so.

My wife’s worst insomnia is always right after making a big purchase, but she’s never regretted them in the long term.
