I will try this again. I am overwhelmed by all the love pouring out of BCN. If this message is posting, I will be very happy. If not there is nothing else I can do. I am signed on and clinking the comment box when I’m done. If this doesn’t work, I guess I will speak through ladykat if she doesn’t mind. Thanks to all, Jeanne.
Now I know why my partner buys double length toilet paper (twice infinite is infinite, but she’s not persuaded). Not that Missy has Lupin’s knowledge yet, but any day now I’m sure…
Friends don’t let friends start the toilet-paper habit. You just have to say No.
On a serious note, our oldest cat, McKayla, has not been feeling well. She is 19 years old this year and the cutest little tabby. She has been pulling some of her fur out lately and she has thrown up a couple of times recently. She has always had a cast-iron stomach. I know she is quite old for a cat and she is so tiny now, but I dread the day she does not set next to me an purr in the evenings. We sometimes call her the Empress of the world because what McKayla wants, Mckayla gets.
We are feeding her baby food because it is easy to digest. Although the fur thing has us stumped. She is strictly an indoor cat and has not been outside in many years and she is a mellow soul. If you have an idea about the fur, please let me know, and thanks for listening.
Good morning and happy TGIF, orbsters and orbabies. It has been many many years since I had a cat unroll or otherwise mangle toilet paper. Lupin is just too cute doing it, and Elvis’ expression of horror is just priceless.
Skykey’s widow, Jeanne, is still unable to comment here on BCN. She would like to know if the fact that she is using Windows XP on an older computer makes a difference. Any thoughts on that? Thanks, everyone.
Lupin looks a little worried in panel 2. Also, I noticed that our Ms Dunn has started to autograph toilet seats! Georgia, please keep your standards (pun intended) higher than this!!
Well now look at the physical arrangement of the paper and toilet seat. It almost like it was custom designed for his enjoyment. Cant blame him for tailored enticement.
One of my Balinese, Inari, unrolled about 15 feet of t.p., and then sat in the sink, happily watching me curse and roll it back on. A few days later, I caught her unrolling the t.p., then batting the roll in the opposite direction to put it back, making strange little chirping sounds. She continued doing this for about 10 minutes! After that, I’d occasionally come home to find the t.p. rolled up in a fluffy, ragged state. She also stole and “drowned” socks, and then presented her wet “prey” to me (sometimes dropping them on my face at 3 AM), “Mommy, look what I killed for you!”). She had seen me washing pantyhose knee socks in the bathroom sink. I think she was imitating me the way a kitten would learn from her Mom-Cat.
I can’t even leave the toilet paper on the roller. I have to stow it on the window sill. When Lionel sees it, he becomes a beserker. It’s the most hilarious thing. I admit, sometimes I sacrifice a roll because it is just so funny to watch.
…if anybody has read the Texts From Mittens strip, Mittens refers to this as Roller Derby (and his Roller Derby name is Mitty Mayhem!) (“Stop, Mitty!” “There is no stopping Mitty Mayhem!”)
I’m feeling sad today, folks. Yesterday, I had to put my cat Boofa down. She had a tumor in her throat and it got so big that her breathing was obstructed. I adopted her in 2012. She was almost 18 years old, but still gone too soon.
I’ve only had one TP kitty and nothing was going to stop her. I had no problem picking the paper off the floor and using it. She just unrolled it, she didn’t tear it up too much. I have a rescue now that will take every tissue out of a pop-up box and rip them up. For some reason, the boxes that are not pop-ups she leaves alone. Needless to say, no more pop-up boxes for us (which doesn’t bother me but my husband likes the pop-ups that fit in decorative holders.).
I usually read the new strips before going to bed, but I went to bed early (for me) due to a headache. While I was sleeping, I dreamed I was buying toilet paper. (I envy people who have interesting dreams.) Then I wake up to discover Lupin tearing up toilet paper. Weird!
A few years back, a friend sent me a birthday card that showed a cat playing with toilet paper. Jasper was sitting on my lap while I was reading the card. He had never, ever even seemed to notice the TP. Later in the day, I went into the bathroom to discover a pool of TP under the now empty cardboard tube. Was it just a coincidence, or did Jasper understand the image he saw on the card? I made a cardboard cover to keep him from getting access, and it never happened again. I would always tease my friend about teaching Jasper bad habits. I lost both Jasper and my friend two months apart in 2016.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I will not be on line tomorrow, due to the family wedding – Paul’s mom and her partner are finally tying the knot! If anyone is interested, I’ll give a description on Sunday afternoon after I get home of the ceremony and the feast (FIL is Italian).

You know, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen that look on Elvis’ face before.

Elvis knows that since Lupin has begun to mummify poor Puck in his efforts to measure the TP that he’s the next victim.

On the other paw, if they can get this over to Tommy and Sophie’s house – she’ll have lots of mixed media material for her next gallery show.

For Sophie Ann this would be art supplies—she would tell you to create a toilet paper tapestry, Lupin. ;-)

Find a roll and spin it round, round, round
As you look to measure paper you have found
Listen to the rolling sound, sound, sound
‘Til you’ve come to find the TP’s end.
…….
Then the end you may have found, found, found,
But it would appear the TP still abounds,
On the floor there is a mound, mound, mound
As it threatens to cover both your friends.
…….
All the time you spend in the rest room
Is for research only one would just assume
And the work you’ve all put in today
Makes the Man and Woman want to say,
…….
What is all this mess I’ve found, found, found?!
How could have done this without any sound?
Cats then scatter all around, round, round,
But they’ll be forgiven in the end.

As my cats age, they are less inclined to use the toilet paper as a treadmill, but letting it hang down it back has become a habit.
