They both agreed that the town wasn’t big enough for a conflict therapist. They had a ballistic breakthrough that opened up hole new avenues for the therapist.
The drawing alone makes it worth reading. Whole lotta nuance ! Look at the gunfighters’ poses – elbows up, shoulders hunched..it’s a small masterpiece. (But I can live without the damn bears…)
A little different perspective on this; I doubt that this scene ever really happened in the frontier towns in the 19th century. The face off in the middle of the street with a quick draw contest was probably an invention of Hollywood. I think most of the gun violence in the old west was ambush like. Kind of like we have now.
Squashed by government and big media to be more politically correct. Maybe Wiley has been replaced. Is he being held under house arrest or maybe sent to Guantanamo for reeducation forced to read tweets from our glorious leader. Although I have to admit on second reading I do like today’s strip. Wry and subtle…

Anyone not liking this is either a therapist or a snowflake PC.

Wasn’t it Wiley who once did a cartoon about needing a better sign on the office door of “the rapist”?
