Given the books she’s been reading at night and the mental comparisons she’s been making, I think it’s just frustration she’s feeling between dreams and reality.
There’s also the “breathing in my face” phenomenon. Sweet when you’re both awake; can be really annoying when your partner’s asleep and you’re trying to join them.
