A girl never outgrows needing her Daddy. I wish I still had mine. Mother also.

Why are you Millennials and Gen Zers SO LAZY that you have to abbreviate “OK”.

The goal of parenting is to make yourself unnecessary. Some fare better than others in that regard.

Pfft. Just open your wallet and wave a little money around.

Re Fred said, “Now that Luann’s a young adult.” Not yet evidently. But it IS time. Would like to see Luann living with her peers (but not Bernice – not enough of a stretch).

Meanwhile, Luann’s former arch nemesis Tiffany, is practically scraping the bottom of the barrel to make ends meet.

Tiffany should live at Luann’s house. Then she could almost live in the manner that she was formerly accustomed. Too bad Pru currently occupies Brad’s old room…….,

When you start leaving your parents directions on how you want stuff done is the time you should be told “If you don’t like how I did it, do it yourself next time”.

And Frank and Nancy are becoming less and less relevant to the strip. Slowly, slowly fading into the background.

Time for them to become grandparents!

That’s so sweet. I’m sure Nancy is happy about how much Luann asks her for help, but hides it under her irony.

A son is a son until he takes a wife. A daughter is a daughter the rest if her life.

Or some such thing….

I have to say that I was closer to my mother when growing up (Dad was working all the time), but once I was an adult and on my own, I called on Dad to help me with my apartment (electrical, plumbing, car trouble etc). We became very close. Fast forward 40 years…. I miss his friendship…still have his voice messages on my answering machine 4 years after he has passed.

STILL have entire first box of cotton balls, what is their purpose?

Well you know what they say “If you need something, and it’s at your mom’s house—it’s yours”!

Luann is like all young adults of this generation. She can’t do things for herself yet.

Don’t worry, her car will suffer a dead battery or won’t start.

I have two choice words for Luann, and mom got one of ’em right and came close on the other.

Well, if Luann’s a young adult now. She needs to do more for herself and leave her mom alone.

The current term is “new adult” for those out of public schools and kinda supporting themselves.

Don’t worry Frank, Luann will find need for you over the years, mine is 32 and still calls on me often actually.

My dad died when I was in my late twenties, my mom in my late fifties. I’ve never stopped needing them, and I’m retired now.

Then she was a what?

My mother was so relieved when I left home. Her stockings drawer was all hers again.

What’s the over-under on whether Luann gets past her narcissism?

Her needing her parents’ help is understandable (though not preferable; a parent’s ultimate goal is to make themselves unnecessary), but good lord her entitled attitude is grating! Reminds me of when she returned from her camping trip and just dumped her stuff by the door for her parents to deal with.

Her parents really need to stop enabling her.

Ask a girl who grew up without a daddy how important they are.

Luann is lucky to have a family who is there for her.

All Tiffany had was her father and his money, and Ann Eiffel has taken all that away from her. Now Tiffany is being reduced to what she thought of as “Luann’s level”. In fact, she’s in a far lower level. But at least Tiffany has friends who are aware of her plight and are willing to help.

I’m betting Luann and her family would help as well, if they’re given the chance.

So, Mom is reading a Fantasy about daughters leaving home titled “Then She Was Gone”.

This is the Way of the dad of a daughter. Moms are different. Frank knows….

Why is her mom putting up with this? She is an adult even if she is still living at home. She didnt even say please! My Mom would never have allowed that.
