    Please, if you can

    Do help the man

Good in both heart and mind.

    Nobel to give

    Wise way to live

    Traverse the path most kind.

    There’s always will be time

    To skip the storyline

    To make us all aware

Of the ills that cause us fear

    Sugar queen can wait

Use a candy cane as bait

    And help locate a cure

For the wealthy and the poor

    We remember all the sick

    All the Harry’s, Mike’s and Dick’s

In our prayers and in our thoughts

Acts of kindness can’t be bought

Wishing Mike you’ll get well soon

    Continue telling of lunar moons!

Ah, shucks! I thought it was a new story line!

And I was looking forward for Tracy going to my daughter’s home town of Atlanta!

What’s the situation with the mine in Auburn? Are there possibly some magnesium compounds getting into the environment that cause irritation?

    Just s thought.

Speaking of eye mysteries, one of the greatest eye mystery is that whether anyone has seen Dick Tracy with his eyes opened! ;0)

The fifty cases referred to occured in the Auburn, Alabama region; not Auburn, Georgia as Tracy states in today’s comic.

Somebody “playing” with a laser perhaps? I’ve seen it before. Just a guess…

Moving heavy equipment is serious business. Don’t rely on mirrors, always have someone go back and LOOK. Use a ground guide. Chief Lehr’s death was tragic, but also avoidable.

What industries are in the vicinity of Auburn, Georgia? IMO, it’s not a coincidence so many cases have occurred in that region.

So today’s strip is a plea for us to go find out why so many people get eye cancer in a small town, and the “Hero” is a chief who was run over by his own truck?

A useful strip. Unintended is that it reminds us that most real units like Tracy’s are working several cases at once, multitasking.

An unusual departure from the storyline in order to draw attention to Real Life, and specifically to health concerns of our writer, Mike Curtis, who lost an eye to cancer and now has to cope with an aneurysm that is going to require some very costly medical care. His GoFundMe site has as of this writing raised $780 towards a goal of $10000….
