Why does she think it might have been a suicide?

When did the Chandler Hotel become the Charlton Hotel? Or does Wendy not know what she’s talking about?

Mr. Howell looks pretty shocked that their “perfect plan” didn’t work.

“Luckily she suffered…”  Wendy sounds like she is glad that Frieda was so “lucky” to have suffered. If she had died would the witch of WGN have considered it a sweepstakes win ?

Mr. Howell should look bewildered, shocked, and concerned – maybe it’s dawned on him that now they’ll soon be coming after him and his wife,

If that is a modern day tv set up shouldn’t the remote be pointed at the tv for the infrared waves to hit the sensor ?

That last panel says it all….Howell knows they’re screwed.

Coming next is a knock at the Howell’s front door.

So, if Frisk was found “tied up and secured” on the roof of the hotel, how is that attempted suicide?

So why did this get on the news before they arrested the Howells?

Looks like the Howells need to run to Gilligan’s Island!!!

there shouldn’t be anything of the news since they expected her to be killed in the demolition of the building. Her body might not have ever been found.

2-…and on the lighter side, our esteemed police chief was FIT TO BE TIED…

3-…when former detective Patty Primm was found HOGTIED on the roof of a condemned downtown building. The Chief was insistent that the perpetrators of this heinous crime would KNOT slip through the NOOSE he planned to throw around the city. He further claimed that most criminals, when given enough ROPE, would eventually hang themselves anyway. Back to you Ted. Lovely TIE by the way.

Why, all of a sudden, do readers expect these stories to be consistent, or even make sense?

Why would this be an attempted Suicide? That makes no sense!

“Oh, man, we should have just killed her with that needle in the neck. I feel like such an idiot.”

Curiously, the Chandler Hotel had a name-change, to Charlton (a name that happens to match an artist I know in Chicago), just days before demolition! Those real estate moguls are so fixated on attaching their own names to landmarks like the Sears Building!

Anyway, poor old Jimmy (who, as I have noted previously, may or may not be truly married to his moll, Mrs. Clair Howell) looks like he is about to swallow his cheap stogie. Gee! Their super-clever plot to let Frisk die of exposure and/or in the demolition of that old hotel, whatever its name, has failed. Dear SBN hat-wearing anchor and notorious Tracy-hater Wendy Wichel has blabbed it all over the TV.

Time for the Howell team to abandon shop and head for the hills! Bad boy, bad boy, whatcha gonna do when the cops come for you?
