Nice. Luann and Jack have a little more to do before Frank gets home. Get the stew started, then clean up the place. Jack seems to be taking a more “take care of things” with Luann. If this keeps up… well that won’t happen for a few years but… oh well, let’s see where GnK take this for the short term;-)

Works better when they are in a dog crate if left alone. Mine don’t mind it. They always get a treat when they go in. The door to the crate is left open if we are at home. They sleep in it at night with the door closed. Now if I want them in the crate for the night or if we go out, I just rattle the treat bag and they go running into the crate. To them, the crate means treats and a nice comfy mattress to sleep on.

with everyone at work (and / or school) Puddles IS alone. Jack’s dog is probably alone right now too (unless Jack has a room mate). But Puddles is not used to this. Jack will help to solve this problem, an indoor pen maybe.

Am I the only one that noticed this? Since he was first introduced in 2016 Jack has appeared every year in April or May. May of last year he was a “wingman” on Luann’s “date” with “Doug.” But that arc culminated with a “tender moment” on May 15th and 16th.

And now here he is, back again! Just in time for another Luann Spring infatuation?

Most of the comments here seem to be focused on Puddles and that is understandable, but the relationship between these two are, to me, what is really the theme of this arc, in the middle of related arcs. They are at her home alone, which Luann had to know would be the case, and Jack, who we know loves dogs, seems just a bit surprised when he sees that Puddles has been alone in the house, he is a responsible type in certain ways. I just have this feeling that we are being subtly conditioned to see how they each meet needs in the other. Sweet dufus Luann needs an understanding but responsible type, who jumps to help with the little foibles she has dealing with life, while Jack really thinks Luann is beautiful, fun, and compatible. I know I am projecting, but I happen to think I am on the right track here, Time will tell though.

    Tyge’s History of Jack

When Jack 1st appeared, along with Nil in Zébo’s Art 101 class, he was very much the Big Dumb Jock, looking for an easy-A. He was on the football team, tho’ not a star. He was clumsy, physically and socially, and fancied himself a player. n November 1st thru the 12th of 2016 he and Nil tried to pick up Luann and Bernice at The Fuse, then brushed them off. On May 9, 2017 he first became date material when Nil caused a double date with Luann and Bernice and went bowling. In the strip on May 12th, Nil alluded to him being a “player” dating “18 girls” at once. Toward the end he dropped a ball and broke ger foot. During this arc it appeared Bernice and Nil were becoming an item after her dalliance with Piro. This was also the time when Tara was pulling Luann into adventures outside her comfort zone. In mid to late April of 2018 Luann “encounters” Jack in the life drawing class. April 28’s strip is the first time Frank and Nancy hear of “Jack the Nude Model.” Then comes a whole series of Luann encounters with Jack leading to folks (me included) to believe he was the next Aaron/Quill reincarnation. Then “friend zone!” In 2019 he was only a “wingman” on Luann’s “e-date” with “Doug.” But even that arc culminated with a “tender moment” on May 15th and 16th.

So, will this current encounter be another friends only encounter ala Christmas shopping and wingman? Or something more?

Since this is somewhat of a “slow day” (aka nothing particularly controversial), I did a “deep dive” into the 2015 strips. A lot went on! Luann’s first class with Zebo. Surly Gunther, the beginnings of The Fuse.

In the comments, there were references to a poster “RB2” and Luann parodies. I could not find any actual postings by RB2, only some posts that referred to him/her. What happened?

OMG Puddles it looks like the kitchen after Alex riped up the floored, chewed the cabinet in half, put holes in the pantry, took the Dr. Peppers off of all the bottles with not one of them busted open, and took all of the other items in the pantry out too. In addition to chewing a hole by his water dish under the window sill. Or the following days of chewing all the TP holder after taking the TP off and TP paper on the stairs and in every room. It was a nightmare to come home most days. So we bought him a dog house and put him outside. Where he decided he could take the cable down so daddy could put it back up when he got home.
