How come ripe-brain people get to make all the rules?

When he said old people, he meant his late-20s mother. Earl, you’re ancient people.

You should say you are the child still learning And we are teaching you life’s lessons everyday.

One is never too old to learn something new, although some of us have to learn the same thing more than once!

In my case, it’s passed well beyond ‘ripe’ to ‘ready for the compost heap’.

Well, I’m in my mid-60s, and my mind is like a steel trap.

And sometimes you’ll have to thump them to hear how ripe they are and they might sound hollow!

I might tune out my mother on occasion, when I was Nelson’s age, but if my grandma told me to jump, I’d ask how high. Her word was law!
