Now go out and jog. Maintaining 3 meter distancing if at all possible and wearing a mask if there are other people around. Or take a picnic and walk off the trails a ways. Or, what the heck, volunteer to read stories to kids online.
I am taking as much advantage as I can from staying at home. I am exceptionally fortunate that I have a job and I can do it from home. I am also smart enough to know that makes me a lot better off than many people.
I am using the extra time to get those small chores around the house done.
I take my breaks from work, outside in my backyard, in the sun.
I now eat lunch with my co-worker (wife) and we often take a walk on our cul-de-sac where we meet with our neighbors and talk from opposite sides of the street.
I subscribed to Zoom so I can now host family meetings for as long as we want and host up to 100 people (there aren’t that many people IN my family). I am thinking of hosting the 50th wedding anniversary for my best man and his wife.
I occasionally open up those word documents that will become that book I’ve been telling myself I was going to write for the past decade and a half.
My wife and I participate in a cottage industry sponsored by our church to make cloth masks. We don’t make them, but we are the supply chain and distribution.
My wife and I go to church in our pajamas and take the dog with us. The best quote I’ve heard on this is, “The church is not empty; it’s deployed.”
I sit around and think up jokes based on the shortage of toilet paper.
I have an identical pile of books on a shelf behind me right now. Our library was forced to close but they let us request delivery of “care packages” of up to 20 books per member. That is what my wife and I did.
I don’t know how She manager that, Here they closed all the libraries overnight in mid-march and I managed to get out a few books and when I looked one was the LAST volume of a three part series…. It was first in a row because it started with an ‘A’ Apex.

Study World History. It’s repetitive which is why everyone should know. Maybe we could put an end to that situation.

Serious. Am I the only one who is reading less in lock down? I can’t seem to concentrate on books these days. One other friend said something similar.

Go on GoComics and try to come up with a brand new, never heard before pun (or join me in recycling the old ones).
