    “St. Bert, …”

Didn’t want people to think that was “God”? Never saw that before.

Anyone else been feeling like Homer lately? Surrounded by Neanderthals in a time of ignorance and tribalism.

By cave dwelling times humans already had speech, contrary to silly movies that have cave people grunting. They were working in groups to hunt and speech would have been a huge help in that regard to planning out the hunt.

This string made me think of this scenario (at least the latter panels) back to when I first listened to this song (and have worn it out over the years) – what was it like for the first person to actually form words. Wonder if Wiley is a Pink Floyd fan. And I wonder now in this time, if the lyrics can offer a path forward, “all we need to do is make sure we keep talking.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ7zbzJZsjs

They brought him back to serve as either Cheap Labor or Lunch, depending on how much trouble he gave them.

He just made their decision easier.
