Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
More of the Breathless story, including B.O.ās real name, which weāve already discussed here, but other readers may not be familiar with it. (For those who wondered if they might appear different in colour, note that Fortunaās lips are still drawn with a black line.)
If you like the lack of color in your comics, try Endtown. Of course, Aaron Neathery has made that strip so dark, you need special techniques to see the monster in the current edition!
I get the feeling thereās going to be no crime here as it is about showing a more human side to Tracy in that he has taken time away from important police work for this encounter albeit unwillingly.
I like the perspective of Tracy talking while the graphics run.
CRIMESTOPPERS TEXTBOOK: In spite of a somewhat similar appearance, tighty whities do not make effective facemasks. Nor do facemasks make effective tighty whities.
The Genie In The Brown Shoe Story goes on, continues evenā¦
1-DT: So whatād you do with the fiddy K?
2-FORTUNE: Well, given my promiscuous nature, I decided to spend some of it on back-alley penicillin shots. Man, those hurt!.
3-ā¦Then, I bought a new ginsu knifeā¦
4-ā¦and a farm with a tractor and a field hand.
5-DT: You bought a field hand? FORTUNE: HA! Youāre silly. But yes. DT: What do you grow there?
I interpret the last two panels as Fortuna completing Tracyās sentenceāāā¦B.O. Plenty.ā And she goes on to wonder, as newer readers here might, āIs that his real name?ā Tracy explains. And now I suppose this story is primed to move on to its next phase, in which Fortuna Dyer, Method Actress, meets B.O. Plenty at Sunny Dell Acres, leaving him astonished at the resemblance to Breathless, and leaving Gravel Gertie simmering with latent jealousy. Thereās plenty (ahem!) of room for conflict to develop thereā¦.

The Method demands she have roaming hands
Breathless now is she
Apparel skin tight. Deliciously right
Luscious curves we see.
Tracy does share. Tries hard not to stare
Recalls a different time
Shaky did suffer. Pier was no buffer
Payment for his crime.
A family affair. Mom did not care
Shot Breathless in the arm
Killings and flight when nothing went right
Greed always leads to harm.
A crooked mile. After a while
Stumbled upon B.O.
Troubles not done when on the run
Rather, they tend to grow.

One advantage of a Sunday strip is the ability to use coloring (or lack thereof) for dramatic purpose.

Good morningā¢, fascinating flashbacks !
B.O., on the vintage tractor, is my fave panel today. Nice to see in pictures what the more informed have been discussing all week.

This is the end of Tracyās usefulness and the target now shifts to B.O. If Miss Dyer come to visit B.O., this will be the start of World War III
