âListen my children and you shall hear of the midnight ride of Paul Revere.â Yeah, when I was a kid, that poem was taught to us as true history. Found out years later itâs 99% hogwash. Great literature, bad history.
Try upstaging the whatever animal it was on the fiddle. That would be easier. Was it a cat that played the fiddle in that nursery rhyme, or a dog? My mind is blanking on it.
When he wrote âThe Fellowship of the Ringâ there was a scene where Frodo sang a much longer version of âHay Diddle Diddleâ, it was in the inn scene where they met Strider.

The cow was standing on the moon, and simply jumped to a spot a few feet away.

She could also try to use the moon to power her Waterbending. Donât want those upstarts at the Water Tribe to upstage her either.

If only more people were as smart as Phoebe, and didnât get tricked into thinking that sayings that rhymed were more believeable.

I agree, Phoebe. Which is probably why my favourite (non) rhyme is:
Roses are red;Violets are blue; Most poems rhyme; This one doesnât! :DNebulous Premium Member almost 5 years ago

Incidentally, Iâve been writing a poem a week for years, and most of my newer ones are based on facts. For example:
Dioxygen difluoride, which is also known as FOOF,
Is a really nasty substance. Now, in case you want the proof,
Know that elemental fluorineâs super risky to extract.
Many nineteenth-centâry chemists died attempting this, in fact.
But at seven hundred Celsius, it gets a whole lot worse,
As the fluorine will dissociate and atoms will disperse,
Which allows them to combine with all the oxygen around.
(I assume this isnât something that in nature can be found.)
FOOF is stable at a hundred eighty Celsius below.
Any warmer and it soon reacts with anything to blow.
Even ice will catch on fire if not explode with help from FOOF.
Thatâs why almost no one makes it. If you do, youâve made a goof.
