I have a touch of that. Straightening things out of line. Probably OCD.

I tend to fix things when I come across an issue. I used to tighten the bits and pieces on the airplane I was in until it became impossible to carry a multi-tool unless you were a terrorist. (Yeah, I know I’m channeling the “outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns” rant). I still pick up a-hole motorists’ trash (though these days, I use gloves).

Might as well inspect the plumbing while you’re down there.

Careful with the political stuff — remember, Wiley already lost a bunch of newspapers by hiding “F*** Trump” in his strip.

I believe the adage is something about straining out gnats and swallowing camels – too preoccupied with trivial matters to see what’s important. (As contrasted with seeing the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and missing the 2×4 in your own – i.e. easier to see faults in others than recognize your own.)

Sometimes, what we see as wrong, is actually right. Arguing should not be about fighting, it should be about finding the truth.

Well, that was one way to interpret it.

Another way, punchline to old joke. “But officer, I was only going one way.”

My mother used to tell my father when he was driving us to some place or other, “Yes, dear. I know you should follow the signs, but you also need to watch where you’re going.” (Mind you, this was back in not only the last century, but he last millennium.)

One must inquire: Why was the entrance to the sewer considered to be the “one way” in the first place? Wasn’t there “another way”?

So here I thought I did just a simple, silly sight gag that wouldn’t be contrued into leading a way for any cantankerous political takes. Seriously, can’t some of you just leave it alone for one moment and just enjoy the little things…like reading silly cartoons?

In animation, the sign would have slipped back to point at the hole in the last panel.
