Some secrets keep. Rikki did weep. Uncertainty is hell.

Where is he now? Is there a vow to break out darling Rikki?

Outside the law in Tracyville life tends to get most tricky.

Woot! Woot!!! Very excited to see Abner make a reappearance. He was always a great Halloween villain.

I was only joking when I commented about him at the beginning of this arc Joe and Mike didn’t need to take it as a plot suggestion

The return of Abner Kadaver is not a welcome development.

This should make even Hanna Barbera embarrassed (Hanna Barbera the creators of Scooby Doo).

Months ago (it just seems longer), we had a grisly murder and the promise of an interesting mystery.

Today, we have what appears to be Svengoolie meets the Monster Mash.

Is Bobby Boris Pickett next?

The Thing makes a gust appearance as well? This one looks bad, must be a cousin or something!

Do the people like glass coffins Sven? Remains to be seen! Sorry folks, as Sven has a coffin, BTW what did the casket say to the other casket, “Was that you coffin”? I am going now!

So is Stokes really Abner without his mask?

Anyone else notice that the sartorial combination (white glove, red shirt, black coat) matches Sven’s?

Well, most likely it’s ol’ Abner. Which is a spanner in the works of the current story-line. But intro was “A moment back in time…” Maybe it was someone else at the falls… No, not Moriarity. Stokes & his partner found uranium (or anything else of value), partner tried to kill him, Stokes survived (today’s strip) and waited for partner to make bundles of money before seeking revenge – only to have former partner die and leave wealth to daughters! … Nah, most likely Abner, darn.

The “throw it against the wall and see what sticks” theory is at work

Have there ever been two villains at the same time, with separate stories?

1- Niagara Falls. SLOWLY HE TURNS. STEP BY STEP. Hey Moe!

2- A white gloved hand reaches out from under the murky water. Desperate. Grasping.

3- Four elegant fingers and a decidedly disjointed thumb find purchase. What was long believed by white settlers to be nothing more than an indigenous people’s legend, the Fussy Man Of The Falls applies his White Glove Test. Satisfied with the results, he sinks back to the depths until the next full moon calls him back to his never ending task.

If that is Abner, that guy can sure hold his breath.

Just like Svengoolie, Abner started out as a horror movie TV host. Tomorrow, Sven will show Tracy his surprise in his office. Abner will be there. Sven will explain that he is helping Abner get back into the business.

Can this be the motive for Stokes? He’s trying to revive Abner and needs a rare type of blood, that the three sisters have by the pint? Shouldn’t Stokes look like Vincent Price?

Aaaah! Now we learn that Abner Kadaver survived his plunge and is awaiting his orders from Mike to Return to Duty. Revenant on board (may we hope to see Rikki, too?)….

Why this flashback now? I don’t really know. But if Abner is to be integrated into this story, what I think I would like to see is a titanic Clash of the Monsters, with Kadaver squaring off against Stokes in a match to the death—though I have no idea what the motives of each would be, I do think such a duel would be great Halloween seasonal fun.
