We once put a line on the deck that ran down the centerline of the engine room upper level on the submarine I served on. One side was “I don’t know” and the other was “I don’t care” Any time we were asked a question we would love to the appropriate side. It lasted a few days before our Chief made us remove it as it was pissing off our Division Officer, which was its purpose.
Those two things feed each other. For instance, I remember my then spouse being all excited about Irish harp tunes. I didn’t care, and they all sounded exactly alike, to me. Later in my life, I found a reason to like Celtic music, and lo and behold, suddenly the harp tunes WERE interesting and different.
When it truly doesn’t matter (like for something of this level), simply say, “They are both great! ….which color scheme are YOU leaning towards?” And pick up the clues and agree that the way SHE is leaning is the way YOU lean, too. Case closed. He needs some husband classes.
For gawd’s sake, Opal, go into your stash, pick out all your left-overs, and use them up. And, if you need any more to fill out spaces, let me know. . .
Like Earl, I have no idea what clothes match, which ones don’t, never ask me about colors, what clashes with what or mixing stripes and solids, or dots and stripes

Good decision Earl. Cause whatever choice you make it would have been wrong.

If Opal wants a man’s opinion, she should go with Clyde’s, Nelson’s, or even (rarely seen son-in-law) Dan’s.

There are some colors I love (eg- electric blue), but I’d still never wear a shirt in that color.
