Never worried about Earl’s brain health before, but after saying something like that out loud, I’m wondering

Cooking can be fun, cleaning never is.

They are both retired. He just sits and will age faster and Opal does all the work. It’s about time! Sadly, I doubt we will move on to his attempt to cook, although it should, since he thinks it’s such a nice relaxing hobby. Plus dishes. And cleaning the kitchen afterward. I want to see a picture of Opal sitting on her bum with Roscoe and the cat while he happily hands Opal a sandwich on a TV tray. That will never happen.

When he said “fun relaxing hobby like you”, he was trying to get to the thought of her being his fun relaxing hobby, but she derailed it from the get go. (My wife’s fun relaxing hobby is loading the dishwasher. Mine is watching her load the dishwasher.)

Roscoe is smiling because he has the couch all to himself. (I know)

Earl just said something.

Not sure, but I think Earl is beginning to dodder.

This is by FAR the dumbest thing Earl has said to Opal. He didn’t just put his foot in his mouth; he put the whole leg, swallowed and choked on it!

A domestic fool and his spare time are soon parted.

My wife and I have always shared the cooking and cleaning. Maybe that is why we are still married after 45 years.
