Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Perfect! Take April and she will scream at top of her lungs for you. I hated it when my boys and grandkids yowled like that as babies. Most of the time, it’s growing pains that they don’t know how to handle. Tooth sprouting out. Bone growth. Ear infection. Upset stomach. Missed nap. Things we couldn’t see to figure it out.
I used to take my Big-Bang carbide cannon out and fire it for the New Year. Don’t think I even have Bangsite fuel for it anymore. Can you still buy that stuff?
I can empathize with Elly. In fact, how about Elly goes to find the noise makers and hats (mine were in a basement closet) and Mike holds onto April for 15-20 minutes. April will stop crying for a bit; Elly can run all through the house doing things that she can’t while holding April; company approved noisemakers will appear; and if Elly is smart, she’ll grab her book and lock herself in the bathroom for 5 minutes. Everyone’s happy.
Yes, I’m one of those people who re-uses everything that can be re-used: birthday hats, candles, noise makers, gift wrapping, gift bags.
Pretty wall calendars that are really expensive were bought on sale years ago, at 90% off, at the end of January, and have been reused for over 30+ years…they repeat every 7 or 11 or other years…some don’t have a year number on the pages, so it would have been a shame to throw them out…the recipe calendars that are given out for free by the bakeries or restaurants, are kept for the recipes, etc…
I had two of those. Real screamers that kept it up non-stop from wakeup to bedtime. They suddenly snapped out of it at about 6 months old. Even the paediatrician was flummoxed. :P

At least April stopped crying with Mike holding her. He may have the magic touch.

“Yep. We keep New Years Eve stuff stashed around the house 24/7/365, just in case.”
C’mon, Mike. You KNOW you toss that now useless crapola out on New Years day.

I’m pretty sure the kid crying is exactly the way to bring the party to an end.

Crying babies make us feel so helpless when we can’t figure out what’s bothering them.

Did I miss the one where Elizabeth gives April her old bunny, or is that not the bunny in #1? Seems the ears were longer.

Is it just me, or is the kid unusually large for a one-year-old?

His baby sister can also fire off some rounds for 2021. They don’t call her the Poop Cannon for nothing.
Petemejia77 about 4 years ago
Feel like she threw her to him from bottom of stairs. Good catch!

I like the surprised looks in the last panel. Neither were expecting that to happen.
