It’s a bit misleading to compare the brain’s “storage space” to that of a computer. The brain is an analogue device, and the long-term “memory” of even a single synapse has a lot more nuance than a digital on-off switch.

Was Mr. Clean’s reputation as a genie why his earring was accepted by the less politically correct Americans of the 50’s and 60’s?

Some call that science ‘fake news’ and then prove it.

Mr. Clean’s first name Veritably, originated from a ‘Give Mr. Clean a First Name’ promotion in 1962. 2nd place was a tie between ‘Deep’ and Sparkling’.

The traditional measure of a butt is ‘36’

“Some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you.”

Robert House Peters Jr. (12 January 1916 – 1 October 2008) was an American character actor most noted for his roles in 1950s B movies and westerns. He is perhaps best remembered as the face and body of Mr. Clean in the Procter and Gamble cleaning product commercials from the late 1950s into the 1960s. In fiction, Sherlock Holmes didn’t know that the Earth orbited the Sun and rotated on an axis. He believed the brain / memory had a limited capacity. Knowing whether the Sun went around the Earth, or the Earth rotated, and went around the Sun wasn’t useful knowledge in his work. He didn’t want to remember things that were not useful in his work.

In “A Walk in the Sun,” there’s a rude soldier who keeps snapping his fingers and calling out “A butt!” when he wants a cigarette. Previously I thought someone ought to moon him, but throwing a barrel at him would be even better.
