Now Jimbo knows to be less vague, “Heading into town” and instead say, “I’m going to the hardware store, the comic store, and maybe a couple of other places, do you want to go?”

Haven’t been to a comic book store in ages, but go to hardware stores pretty regularly. Auto part stores a little less frequently. About the only place I might go to more often is the grocery store.

My husband has collected die cast cars since childhood; my hobbies include needlecraft & collecting dolls. There used to be a store that actually covered both of us! They also had dollhouse things. We loved going there. Sadly, they closed years ago.

There is a big orange store that I sometimes call my Home away from home. I go there to think and wander until a solution comes to me.

Umm, how about if we stop at the fabric store along the way?

Or Trains. Real trains. Train watching takes hours…

With my hubby it was always motorcycle shops. Until I added the fabric store to the list. Now he goes without me.

Is she accompanying? Or chaperoning?

How about the gun store? I hear new models are coming out…of course there is no ammunition for anything to be had…anywhere.

Rose needs an education—those are both great places to go.

With me it would be a book store or a yarn shop. I could get lost in them for hours and probably end up spending $200 easy.

Leave here at the park with a book; return after the hardware and comic book runs.

Rose has a problem with those two stores because they are the Only two places which can distract Jimbo from his Total Devotion to Rose.

You can go with him, Rose — just plan your own errands and meet up for lunch when you’re both done.
