Ah, yes, now that you’ve created $trillions in debt in tax cuts and giveaways to corporations and billionaires, suddenly you’re concerned about it when a Democrat is about to take the White House. Hypocrite.

Ramirez knows exactly what will cut the deficit, now that it is an issue again:

A tax cut for billionaires. Also cut Medicare and Social Security.

We’ll grow our way out of any deficit.

Thank you Paul Ryan and the GOP. Your tax cut plan for the top 1% screwed America for generations. Time for Democrats to bail America out once again.

He didn’t care about the Deficit when time were good and we were borrowing 2 trillion dollars a year. Not tat a Dem will be in the White house you want to balance the budget.

Garbage. That one is from the Republican Party. Don’t try to spread the blame around. They crapped in the bed, let them sleep in it.

Not too bright, Ramirez. You’re supposed to wait until AFTER the Inauguration before starting in on the deficit, especially since it’s your team that blasted it into space. In 2016, the deficit was $587 billion, now we’re up to $3.3 TRillion thanks to the incompetence and self-serving Trump administration.

Trump’s tax cut had already balooned the deficit. At a time when we needed to pay back the deficit caused by the Great Recession, he cut taxes and caused a huge debt. Now, when once again we are forced to run on a deficit, we are already saddled by the debt he accumulated. And yet some people still say that his deficit economy was great.

Come on Mike, Public debt vs Private debt. Private debt shall be repaid. Public debt shall not, ALL countries just print money money. Welcome to economics all countries do is swap around paper. Public debt finances all those bombs you like.

What is the National Debt and who owns it, in other words who does the government owe money to? The answers may shock you. Look it up. It’s an interesting study in damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Hey Ramirez, we could easily cut the National Debt by just getting rid of the tax breaks that the wealthy bribed Congress to give them for the past 40-50 years.

Now that we have a Democrat in the White House it’s time to obsess about the National Debt over a tax deductable three martini business lunch.

Trumpers say that giving government money freely to people is socialism, and scream about how Democrats want to do that – and how terrible it is… but Trumpers have no problem with Republicans giving government money freely to people – and say that’s NOT socialism…

It’s almost right on cue Ramirez, about a month early. Of course, now you mention deficits as that only matters when a Democrat is in power (or is about to be.)

Curious: If PINO tRump succeeds in his coup (as unlikely as that is) does the deficit just “magically” go away? Or is it just ignored for another four years?

3 trillion run up by McConnell and Trump giving money to rich people, therefore there is no budget to give you more than $600.

    What it boils down to:

It would cost 198 billion to give every U.S. citizen $600; Why is Pelosi’s ‘bipartisan’ ‘COVID relief’ bill 908 billion? One of the items in the 5,550 page bill is: Illegal aliens get $600 AND are retroactively eligible for the $1200 that they didn’t get the first time.I would say if they can prove they are here illegally [to get the checks,] it would be cheaper to DEPORT them to their home country with a free airplane ticket. Trump should veto it and say: “Send me a bill with $1200 for every U.S. CITIZEN, and NOTHING ELSE, and I’ll sign it.”

Well, now that a Democrat is moving into the White House, we are once more concerned with the National Debt and/or Deficit! Remember when then-VP Dick Cheney famously said “Deficits don’t matter?” Then Obama moved in and suddenly they did matter! And, now that Biden will move into the White House on 01/20, they matter again! Meanwhile the working and middle classes will get $600.00 this time around. But, hopefully, once Biden’s in office they will pass the Democratic Stimulus bill that’s been gathering dust. (If both Democratic candidates win the GA runoff next month, the Senate will be split 50-50.) Meanwhile people are staring down the gaping maw of foreclosures and evictions! We need a total moratorium on foreclosures and evictions until we’ve defeated Covid. And also some kind of rent/mortgage debt forgiveness. Otherwise, we could start seeing the have-nots abducting the haves (like what’s been happening in Latin America and other parts of the world for some time now)!
