Earl has a tender moment every now and then Opal. This is one of them. Go on and give the man a big kiss.

In our household the two aren’t mutually exclusive.

What were they planning on going shopping for? A new sweatshirt for Earl?

When a store clerk ask me how I am I usually respond, “Not bad for an old dog.” But then I add, “My wife says I should stop saying that—she’s the same age as me.” :-)

Do both. That should cover everything.

When in doubt, clobber.

How about both?

Where’d he go? Did he run and hide?

After the week he’s had you should kiss him. :-)

Opal, you’re a gem !

Earl and Opal make a great pair. Like others have said, she should do both. And next time she says, "You’re not wearing that … ", she shouldn’t include “… are you?” or just tell him “No. You’re not ready …”

It’s not like Earl is going into the stores with her. He’ll be sitting on a bench checking out the gals walking by.

I’m getting old. Earl is my hero!

I’d be inclined to do both….

…and today, she’s going shopping alone…

Opal, you can do both! As frustrating as Earl is, she still loves him….sort of….

Considering the popular shabby “designer” distressed jeans with multiple rips, holes, and gashes, Earl is completely fashionable.

Compared to a lot of people I see out shopping, Earl looks dressed up. When did it become ok to go out in public wearing your jammies?

Try not to overthink it!

Well, you don’t need to dress up to go shopping.

I’m pretty sure I got (widower) the kiss then the dinner I hate.

Before Covid our routine was he’d drop me off at the fabric store and he would hit the “home improvement” places. I usually had lots more time than I needed to do my shopping.

Need to remember this one.

Earl just doesn’t know when to quit, which in this case was after saying. “I stick with it”.

Earl wins this round.

Probably both. :-)
