Will the officers decide they need to round both of them up and untangle this downtown?

If Sam and Dick were there they could do a tag team match with the machismos.

Pouch had just been sitting there minding his own business. I don’t know what Aquarius plans to say Pouch was doing to him.

Good morning™, negotiators!

Park closing time is coming up fast. I wonder how Pouch planned to hang around to meet his buyer (assuming that’s what he was doing). Anyway, the police are standing in the way of the balloon price negotiations that were in progress.

Well, that sure ended with a whimper!

Gosh, this has turned so silly!

If the patrol officers wanted to, they might find a reason to take them both in, at least overnight. But, more than likely, they will feel it isn’t worth the paperwork. Hopefully they will make out contact cards that will make it up to Tracy.

Poor police procedure. placing themselves between two would be antagonists.

They will just run them off, and then they can continue their argument somewhere else!!!

The police should listen, decide there is nothing criminal going on (unless there are posted hours for the park – in which case both receive a misdemeanor citation) and tell them to move on. Pouch will be able to produce a vendor’s permit or he’d have been busted long ago.

“He was still sitting in the park! He has to sell me a balloon,” shouts idiot in the hoodie.

“Just resting my feet after a hard day.”

“Now, see here, Mister–” begins Officer Fife, and checks ID “Finglegruber–”

“Call me Aquarius, please. He’s guilty of discriminating against guys with beards.”

“Sorry, but if he says he’s done for the day he’s under no legal obligation to sell you a balloon.”

I feel fairly certain neither one wants to go down to police headquarters and try to file charges against someone for being disagreeable in a public park.

Purpose of today’s strip? Uh, end the argument without anyone getting punched in the face?

Beautifully presented, actually a got a chuckle over the bad guys blaming one another! Like the pot calling the kettle black when they both are!

Seems to me, two guys involved in a dispute over drugs would not be so quick to involve the police!

Alright in the back of the squad car, you two. After you explain it to the desk sergeant, then you can explain your “misunderstandings” to a judge. He’ll either fine you two or hand out community service. Imagine that! Pouch and Aquarius assigned to this same park to pick up litter.

The two officers should take Pouch & Aquarius to the station before they have an “attribute”-comparing contest!

An unexpected intervention! This is taking a tragi-comical turn….

They argue, they get arrested, they spend the night in the lock-up, they talk, they find out that they both like the French Impressionists, they end of being best buds. What a great story!

Remember, if your life seems awful, that there’s some guy in that police department who has to search Pouch when they bring him in.
