Yup. The feds have deliberately underfunded the various states’ efforts (“murder” Mitch says he doesn’t want to spend money propping up states that don’t manage their budgets well, according to him). And then they have put the hardest part of the rollout into the states’ hands. It is no surprise at all that this has resulted in chaos.

Trump famously bragged, “I alone can fix it.”

But when everything he touches turns to brown stuff (or as former Republican strategist Rick Wilson famously titled his book, Everything Trump Touches Dies, which I have and have read), now all of a sudden only the state governors can fix it.

Not my fault! Not my fault! I take no responsibility!

Want vaccines actually delivered to people’s arms?

We need a nationally-coordinated response.

We need competent government. It is coming. On January 20.

Democratic presidents won two world wars, put a man on the moon, gave us Social Security, Medicare and Obamacare, and only Democrats have ever reduced an annual budget deficit from one year to the next in the last 60 years. DEMOCRATS MAKE GOVERNMENT WORK.

Republicans whine that “government is the problem” and when they get in office, do everything in their power to prove it.

The Trump administration had NOTHING to do with the first panel, and EVERYTHING to do with the second.

The only thing Trump and the GOP can produce forthwith though done with self-righteous speed is that that they cannot govern.

We could ask the Brits for help and advice, they seem to be doing better. Seems their vaccine is better, too. Needs no special refrigeration.

With a “pass the buck” blamer/braggart as President what did you expect?

Trump’s administration and the GOP are leading us to the Bizarro world.

Given that the “feds” screwed up the distribution of the PPE when the pandemic hit (and 10 months later it’s still a mess) WHY.. would one assume the vaccination would go any better.

Trump enjoys killing Americans.

Why does that snail look so much like a certain turtle? Oh, coincidence, of course!

Typical of the Trump administration’s poor planning, they ignore the last mile… or in this case, most of the miles…

Give the outgoing administration what little credit it’s due: They’re masters of branding. Not delivering, just sounding good. “Operation Warp Speed” was way more clever than the Bushies’ first stab at identifying its military incursion into Iraq (Operation Iraqi Liberation, aka OIL). Unfortunately, as many people noticed at the time the label was first trumpeted to the world, 9 women gestating for 1 month apiece do not produce a baby.

Lots more important things going on y’know… election to dispute, golf to be played, room renovation at Mar-a-Lago and all those death numbers – fake news.

In 1947 New York City managed to vaccinate 6.2 million people against smallpox in something like two weeks. It took organization, hard work, and focus. They also conduced a nation-wide contact tracing effort connected with the smallpox outbreak.

It can be done, but not by the “Trump policy”, which is roughly, “It’s up to you guys”.
