āArctic Societiesā? Is Ernie being (or trying to be) Politically Correct? More Inclusive? Is it wrong to say the āEā word? Did I miss a memo on this? (Couldnāt Arctic Societies also include ones in Northern Europe and Asia?)
Weather pundits have been harping on an upcoming snow event. Mrs is saying yaaaayyyyy!!! Iām more ho hum. Around here .25 inch of snow brings the region to a grinding halt.
Last month, where I live in Texas, we had snow for the first time in years. It even stayed on the ground for a few days, which was even more incredible. I enjoyed it for that short period of time, but was glad when it melted, and the sidewalks werenāt slippery any more.
I didnāt grow up in a snow climate. Now that I live where it snows, I have a love/hate relationship with snow. I like cold weather and like watching snowfall, but Iāll be lucky if shoveling snow doesnāt kill me.

I give back to the community by returning everything the snowplow drops in my driveway.
