One of my favorite meals. I come by it honestly. Every Wednesday night was leftover night. As my brother and I grew older Mom had to supplement some nights!
Since our 2 sons left I have a 2.5 day limit. If it ain’t gone by lunch on the 3rd day it gets tossed. Never used to have this problem in the past and there’s not much left by then anyway.
I know a few people that “Refuse” to eat left overs. I don’t understand that as growing up, if we didn’t eat left overs, we’d be going hungry! And besides that, some leftovers actually taste better the next day.
My family still jokes about “dad’s casserole”, which consisted of any random pasta, a bunch of cheese, a can or two of cream of mushroom soup, and all leftovers.
Is there a new Arlo & Janis website? The one I know, ArloandJanis.com says this: “Hello! if you’re still coming here for the Arlo and Janis home page, you need to go here instead and reset your bookmark when you get there. Thank you!”
Just watched the ‘Bob’s Burgers’ episode where Gene eats the leftover chicken parmigiana that’s gone bad and then pays the price stuck in the bathroom on Thanksgiving Day. Hilarious.
We have a 3 day rule at our house, except for leftover taco fixings. I had to suggest it because she would always throw things out when I went to find them the second or third day in the fridge.
Who throws old food into an open container on the floor to rot until garbage day? Don’t they have a garbage disposal or at least a freezer to put stuff that rots into until it’s time to take the garbage out? I find leaving rotting food sitting out extremely disgusting.

As Popeye would say, “That’s all I can stands, ‘cause I can’t stands no more!”

He could have made refrigerator soup/stew. Always one of a kind and always delicious.

Why don’t they make a meal with the left overs, at least twice a week and sit at table?

One thing about a counter-depth fridge, fewer things get lost in the back.

Growing up with seven siblings we only saw leftovers after Thanksgiving dinner. That lasted until Thanksgiving night.

There is, however, no “here” to which to go.

My wife thinks processed meat like bacon NEVER gets old, even after it has been opened for a week.
