In the last year, I’ve been losing hair. I wish I’d saved it; I’ve lost enough so far to make a pair of mittens. I may keep wearing my wooly hat all year.
My husband wears a ponytail and hasn’t cut his hair in 25 years, but we had to buy a beard trimmer because he looked like an azalea bush had taken up residence behind his mask. I can get my hair/bangs trimmed at the local salon (everyone masked safely) but still no beard/mustache trims for the guys yet.
Great CATHY today. I’ll cut her hair and “borrow” some of it to paste onto my thinning locks. The rest I will donate in a nice bundle to make wigs for victims of cancer.
I finally got my hair cut last week after waiting since June. I’m trying to grow it longer and told the hair cutter. Longer for her means touching the ear. It’s going to be another 8 months before I go in to her shop again. Or maybe not until this pandemic ends.
My one-year anniversary will be next week! Since then, my husband and I have been cutting one another’s hair. While we don’t do as good a job as a professional, we do OK. Also, since we don’t go anywhere, it doesn’t matter that much.
It’s been exactly one year and a day since my last trip to a professional. Somewhere around September, I let my husband hack off 4 inches. It was all he was willing to try, having never cut hair before. So now, I have a very long, crooked blunt cut, that gets rammed into a bun daily anyway. And the greys! Holy cow, where did all of those come from? Grow out your highlights, get a new surprise every time you check the mirror. EEEK!
Two years ago I decided to grow my hair long again. Six weeks before the pandemic started I had it trimmed professionally to just below my shoulder-blades. I had grown it out from a layered cut and it had gotten rather shaggy. Now I’m good to go till the end of the pandemic.
I’ve managed to cut my own, which is curly, and it doesn’t look too bad, but my hubby really needs a cut. I gave him a couple of blunt cuts, but he really needs a layered cut in the back and I’m afraid to try it. It’s been a year next week, and I just got vaxxed, so I’ve already got an appt.
Personally, I’ve still been going to my local hair place all this time—masked and as distant as possible. My cuts are pretty simple, so at least they don’t take much time. Still, so ready for this pandemic to be over …
My husband hasn’t had a haircut in over a year. I just made a ponytail out of his (remaining) hair yesterday. Looks like an aging hippie. He is NOT happy about this, but I love it and refuse to cut his hair for him. LOL
I’ve been going to my regular stylist every few months or so since May of last year. Her current salon (Bravado) is operating by appointment only, and everyone wears masks. Still, I am really looking forward to moving past this pandemic! On the plus side, I’ll be getting my first Covid shot on Monday morning!
Last time my hair was cut was last February. I had wanted to let it grow anyway, but hate going through the awkward growing hair out period. Thank goodness COVID isolated me until November and everyone liked my new hairstyle when they saw it.
I too have been able to get in to my stylist for several months now. The last appointment was for a big color change from blonde to silver grey. I dish out a lot of money to get my hair done and I felt this would be a good way to save. Just got it cut again yesterday. Shorter this time. Again saving money since I don’t have to have it done so often. Love my stylist, the bill not so much….

I’m the male equivalent, Cathy … my hair wasn’t even this long back in the 60’s and 70’s.
