Yup, walls keep folks in as well as out. Lets not forget “Escape from New York.” I mean really, did the Berlin Wall really work? These aren’t lessons of history. Their our time demonstrations of futility. Let’s dig a moat instead.
Something I didn’t know until about a year ago, so I guess it is time to share it…
In the US, as in most of the industrialized world, birth rates dropped precipitously around 1970 with the advent of birth control pills. Children became just too expensive. As of now, roughly a third of the US population is from recent immigration, nearly all legal. The immigrants mostly come from Asia, and the approval process brings us a lot of honest, dedicated, educated people with a strong work ethic and a vision of a brighter future.
Illegal immigrants are a problem, but not a large problem. What would be a problem, though, is if a catastrophe – natural or man-made – drove millions of refugees across the border with no place to live and serious sanitation and health problems. The northern part of Baja California has a cholera problem, as San Diego sees when sewage overflows into the river.

Rodney, just close the North border’s exits, the South border’s entrances, the East border’s exits and the West border’s entrances!!
Then when the King puts you on trial you can say you followed his orders exactly!

Get some insulting French soldiers to guard the borders. The taunting alone will keep everyone out.
