I think it was the Trojans who learned the horrific and valuable lesson, “Beware the man, bearing gifts”.

Mayhaps it is not Kebble, thought to be “as food” by most cats, but Kibble in sheep’s clothing.

The man seems somewhat jovial in this, as if he knows a prank has been played on the universe, and Kitty world will no longer be the same.

Is this some sweet extract of revenge on the kittens who sleep with his woman, and won’t give him pause to close his eyes, and rest?

Have to love how Goldie got the boys to let the Man know that serving Kebble is a major offense, probably a serious felony in Goldie’s mind and therefore needs to be held accountable. Lupin is having a blast and Elvis looks about as mad as when he first came across the Leprechaun! The Man seriously needs to put down what’s left of his newspaper and his spilled drink and make things right by going out and finding some Kibble for the kitties!

Gent had a really good idea. I could see Goldie as a kind of cat-gangster leader in the best Thin Man/Sam Spade tradition. Imagine a comic arc that was just black & white and 1920’s settings…With Lupin & Elvis as the hired muscle and Pucky as the Club-Owner in his tuxedo.

I have joined the ranks of the vaccinated! Now for the two-week waiting period to give my admittedly dodgy immune system it’s best chance and I will be able to face people with a bit more peace of mind, at least on one front. On the other hand, I’ve discovered I’m quite good at being a hermit … or at least a recluse.

So that’s why they do that.

The Man will be lucky if that’s all the cats do to him.
