The Moon Maid was one book of the Edgar Rice Burroughs “Moon Trilogy” series. He wrote over ten series books; the most well known being Tarzan (24 books), Mars (11 books), and Pellucidar (8 books).
1-VERA SEMILITUDE: Hmmm. Other than my plan to add a couple of new titillating emphasis on the first syllable characters, I got nothing for a new story.
2-…so I’ll procrastinate and daydream about Horny. HUBBA HUBBA – OH BABY!
3-…Excuse me folks. My “stylus” needs, uh, tended to. And no, I’m not talking about this one…
I hope Mike makes this interesting soon. It’s the worst “hook” ever – so far. it’s worse than Vitamin practicing a new play. And that’s a terrible opening. Maybe it’s a stall until Tracy’s arm heals? jk Also, why does Vera talk to himself so much? Couldn’t it just be thought balloons? GET TO THE CRIME ALREADY!
When Vera first came into the strip (he’s distantly related to BO Plenty through marriage), he was becoming known for his realistic dog drawings and paintings. He would take commissions from rich clients for paintings of their precious fluffy. While doing this, he unwittingly became involved with a gang of dog-nappers who stole the dogs of rich people and held them for ransom.
Vera and Sparkle eventually fell in love and married. BO was initially against the marriage but Vera, who had become rich from his dog drawings bought BO and Gertie a kitchen stove with a built-in TV which gave them a better opinion of him.
….again, I wasn’t around when the following apparently happened, BUT: How in the HELL did Sparkle Plenty end up married to this total dipsh*t?? Explain, please….I was away at the time……..
47 years ago today I married my wife Cindy in the Wilderness Chapel at Silver Dollar City, MO, (a resort park in the Ozarks near Branson, MO) where I was working as Assistant Director of Entertainment during the day and I was also starring in a show at night in Branson. My former roommates, Anthony Flacco and John LeGrande, were singers at the wedding and my high school friend William P. O’Brien was my best man. We are all still good friends today. Happy Anniversary to my wonderful wife.
Was that the set of the Edger Rice Burroughs movie made a few years ago that turned out to be one of the biggest box office bomberinos of recent times?

Good morning™, everyone!
As I remember, the Edgar Rice Burroughs movie was based on his book “Princess of Mars” (1912), perfect for the concept Alldid has in mind.

Panel 3 reminds me of the late Hugh Hefner; all Vera needs now is a smoking jacket and a pipe.

Turn on that old Alldid charm, and in a short while you’ll be able to make a guest appearance in your own comic strip.

His “old Alldid charm” was what got him zapped the last time he and Mysta met…
And Mysta is not the same person as she was then…
Vera is in for the biggest shock of his life !

I thought Moon Maid was dead. Isn’t her clone named Mysta?

What kind of “real publicity” does Vera need? The covers of Rolling Stone and Entertainment magazines?
