Wallace would really like the Estonian sport of kiiking, in which, with enough momentum, the participant can do a 360 degree rotation over the fulcrum of the swing. The swings are specially designed with steel arms (not chain) and the current record height/length is just over 7 meters …

He did get some pretty good distance, though!

Sometimes you don’t have time to plan, you have to go with the moment.

He just thought to himself “bet I could do that” and decided to find out.

I love the progression of panel 1. Top of panel: sees the tree. Middle of panel: gets the idea. Bottom of panel: goes for it!

That’s one small swing for kid, one giant leap for kidkind!

Sort of reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes Sunday strip wherein the whole strip is the two of them dancing. So much fun to follow the sequence. So much in there, so much fun to follow! Thanks, Mr Henry, for the smiles.

Wallace’s dream job—“Here, hold my beer…!”

I did something like that once (when I was about 16) with a rope swing. As I was swinging back in to my landing point, the rope broke. Here it is approaching 58 years later, and I haven’t tried it again.

dad doesn’t need a ladder, just shake the tree, Wallace will fall out eventually.
