I kind of already said this stuff about the ring yesterday, but I think it’s necessary for the millions who read this strip without reading the many comments on this site.

This confirms that Brock wanted to collect both Vera and Mysta. (The blue of Mr. Bribery’s glasses is very bizarre!)

I am thoroughly enjoying this story arc.

Well, so much for the possibility of a second ring – but now there’s the mystery of how it “walked” from Evidence lock-up …there’s a dirty cop or civilian support at the PD.

Does it mean that Drs. Sail and Ghote were the ones who created the ring?

Whoopie doo! Archival is the first on his block to have a cartoonist and comic strip character. Of course the idea of “sharing” with the rest of the neighborhood is out of the question.

It’s weird; I can’t remember what happened with Mr. Bribery. I recall him pushing someone into traffic while jogging, and that turning out to have been really unwise, but I can’t remember much else.

And you’re not punching the monologuing villain right now because??? It only blocks her powers, not either of your fists. If it doesn’t work, what is he going to do? Lock you in a room? Break the cartoonist’s hand? Give Mista a black eye? He’s done the first already and can’t do the other 2 lest he lessens their value.

At some point this joker is going to have to get some shut eye. I suppose Mysta and Vera will be locked in their rooms for Archival to rest.

Calling in a question, does Archival take the ring to the showers with him?

If she can’t attack him directly, can she at least pull his mansion down on top of him?

In the meanwhile, Honey Moon had her date. She wants to share all the particulars with Mysta. Honey Moon " what is going on…when I try to call her…I keep getting voice mail. She does not answer my texts either. Next call, “Crystal, I have not been able to reach Mysta, want to come to Diet Smith Industries with me”? Annie should be in town by then, they could operate "Charlie’s Angel’s " style in solving the mystery of missing Mysta.

Dang! Archival and Mr. Bribery must have the same ring finger size. He didn’t have go to a jeweler’s to have it adjusted to fit him?

One ring to rule them all….1 ring to find them…1 ring to bring them all…and in the darkness bind them.

I hope Vera (or Mysta) has read Misery…

We owe at least this to The Collector: he correctly states that the two (mad) scientists who developed The Ring "vanished’; to this day there has been no confirmation of their fate. They may still be alive, in or out of their stolen Space Coupe, maybe on one of the many moons of Jupiter (one or more of the four Galilean moons may be capable of supporting life, after a fashion).

And once again he rounds off the final (3rd) panel by gloating over his exclusive collecting triumphs, his own cartoonist, Vera Alldid, and his own comic strip character, “Mars Maid” (as portrayed by Mysta Chimera).

The path forward from here is clear in its general outlines: the captives must get out word to rescuers (or escape on their own, which seems unlikely), and then a rescue must be effected, with Brock Archival meeting an appropriate “crime does not pay” fate. Only the details and colorful flourishes need to be filled in….

By the way, today’s my brother’s birthday. He’s 57.

I don’t know if anyone has addressed this point. Just how did Archival get Mr. Bribery’s ring? It’s been retold that Lee Ebony removed the ring from Mr. Bribery’s finger. That ring is evidence and it should locked away in a evidence locker. Since Archival somehow obtained the ring this strongly suggests someone on Chief Patton’s police force is on the take. On the take—Hey Neil, did I get that part right?

I’m starting to think that the ring on the middle finger it intentional.
