You know, no matter how bad the dailies were in the 40s, the the Happy Hooligan sequence we just saw was gosh-awful, there is nothing like the Sunday strips from the 60s to make them seem good in comparison.
Prehistoric predator feeding frenzy happening today in the stinky swamps of Pelucidar! Does anyone really believe that Tarzan will lose a leg? Go Chiefs!!
With all those monsters coming at him at once, there won’t be enough of him to go around. A similar event happened in one of the books. A group of cannibals attacked a safari. The sole survivor was taken back to their village for a later snack. The cannibals invited several other villages to the big feast. The safari survivor didn’t know what they were all going to eat because she was just one person and there wouldn’t be enough of her to go around.

Ichthyosaur for breakfast. I think the first panel is a Dunkleosteus.

I’ll be glad when this arc is over. It’s boring but I am compelled to hang around and see what finally happens.
