Went through that last month. Now the daily brushing is a pittance.

Nothing left but the grin.

My cat and the brush arre sworn enemies. My hand is colateral damage.

I’m reminded of some Garfield Sunday strip — mid-1990s perhaps — where Jon brushes and brushes Garfield until he thinks he brushed Garfield into oblivion; takes the remaining hairs to Liz’s veterinary clinic while in a panic.

I think I’d have done the brushing outdoors.

And Muffy has left the building.

I’d have got rid of the cat!

Muffins got going when the going was good!

To quote Garfield, “make another cat.”

Poor Muffin…. all fluff and no substance.

Hocus-pocus – out of focus? or lost her locus?

That’s what I call a disappearing act !

Just fur and attitude!

She gave Muffy the ol’ brush off!

Stuff some cushions….

I’ve had cats like that. When you finish there is enough fur to make another cat

And somewhere in the house stands a naked cat!

She could make the old guy a wig.

The eyes on Muffin in the second frame are just precious . BUT ! Where is the lovable Roscoe today .

My recently deceased friend had a series of longhaired cats. Neither of which liked to be held. They BOTH would sit next to me to be brushed.

There are people who will turn your cat hair into yarn and knit you a sweater.

Excellent – PROBLEM SOLVED.!!

Well, the dog will be happy!!!

I swear my cat makes hair faster than I can brush it off her.

If you want to see a lot of loose fur, try brushing a Golden Retriever.

Wow! Enough static electricity there to power their house for a day.

This is best done outside and Muffy took advantage of the cloud of cat fur to vamoose.

@katzenbooks45I heard that someone did that with dog fur. Trouble was when it was washed, it smelled like “wet dog”

I’ve just started trying to give my long-haired cat her summer cut. The way it’s going, I might be finished by December or January.
