People make a big deal about artificial intelligence, but I prefer the real thing.

You sure do Pig. That little gray guy to your far left might be an example of artificial intelligence.

There’s a difference between artificial and no intelligence. Unfortunately, they aren’t smart enough to understand the difference.

A fiction I enjoyed called them “Artificial Stupids”. Seems about right to me. They’re anything but SMART, though they can seem pretty clever as long as you stay within their area of “expertise”.

I don’t believe true artificial intelligence is possible. A computer simply cannot have a soul.

Ah yes. The “liberal” intellegensia. I always knews they was all artificial.

I love how well this applies to goat, him representing people who ‘read’ books related to science to appear smart. You can’t really read a book about AI if you haven’t studied CS, furthermore you don’t need to. Since pig is usually the one who messes up meanings, I’m sure rat’s words were intentional, aimed at goat.

A smart person can pretend to be stupid, but a stupid person cannot pretend to be smart. I know, I’ve tried.

The difference between artificial and fake.

I quite often meet people who are educated FAR beyond their intelligence…

AI is still human generated and without a conscience, it is and always will be.. artificial.

I think artificial reasoning will be much more difficult to develop than AI.

As much as I’d love to see Goat’s version happen someday, sadly Rat’s is more realistic.

Have you ever tried to have an extended conversation with a Coder? These are the people who set up the AI. . . I don’t know if I should be very afraid or LMAO.

You’re confusing fantasy with intelligence. Even if a soul existed, how would correlate with intelligence. Intelligence is not restricted to humans. Many animals display critical thinking and problem solving skills, all signs of intelligence. Unlike a soul, which beyond faith alone, has not been proven to exist. Don’t confuse consciousness with soul.

A computer is only as smart as the guy who writes its algorithms. It can learn (by memory) but not think.

Rat, go look in a mirror. You fit your own definition of A.I.

@jennifer.usher The only difference between us and A.I. is that we get are energy from food+water, and our brains are more complicated than a circuit board’s. The latter is only because we don’t the technology yet, although it is possible. Also, souls don’t exist.
