Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Itâs a truth upon which few souls dwell, / but the vista you see shows you well, / of the billions on Earth / who are sinners from birth, / only white people go to this Hell.
When I died, my soul sank down to Hades. / All because of my lust for the ladies. / Every night until dawn, / weâd, in groups, get it on. / (Iâm surprised I survived to my eighties!) /// Endless hurricane winds cruelly blow / on us second ring sinners below. / Though we try to have sex, / the fierce gale always wrecks / any chance for a lustful tableau. /// So we suffer eternally here, / and the lesson to you must be clear. / Up in Heaven theyâre chaste, / here in Hell, weâre abased, / so make love before you disappear.
This is where, soon after they die/ they go, though they mightily try/ in numbers uncountable/ who find insurmountable/ the distinction twixt âlayâ and âlieâ
âHave you ever known what it is to be an orphan?â âOftenâ.âWhen you said âorphanâ, did you mean âorphanâ, a person who has lost his parents, or âoftenâ, frequently?â
THE SELDOM DISCUSSED 4TH SPIRIT: This was you in your mid-twenties, Scrooge. DEBAUCHERY, LUST! Promising youth misspent onâŚ
SCROOGE: Leave me now spirit. Come back in an hour or two. I need to reflect on this, umm, shameful period of my lifeâŚActually, you should just leave me here forever. Thatâll teach me! Belle? Is that you???
Since this is the Second Circle of Hell where all the lusty men and women are consigned, I doubt that thereâs are too many soft tâs â or at least, not often.
Interesting that Romeo and Juliet, are pictured together in this painting while other famous couples are torn apart.
General. I ask you, have you ever known what it is to be an orphan?King. Often!General. Yes, orphan. Have you ever known what it is to be one?King. I say, often.Pirates. (disgusted) Often, often, often. (Turning away)General. I donât think we quite understand one another. I ask you, have you ever known what it is to be an orphan, and you say âorphanâ. As I understand you, you are merely repeating the word âorphanâ to show that you understand me.King. I didnât repeat the word often.General. Pardon me, you did indeed.King. I only repeated it once.General. True, but you repeated it.King. But not often.General. Stop! I think I see where we are getting confused. When you said âorphanâ, did you mean âorphanâ â a person who has lost his parents, or âoftenâ, frequently?King. Ah! I beg pardon â I see what you mean â frequently.General. Ah! you said âoftenâ, frequently.King. No, only once.General. (irritated) Exactly â you said âoftenâ, frequently, only once.

I have added a comment there (awaiting Mr. Melcherâs approval) pointing to the artist info I used to point to here. First work by this artist used here.
Until now I had assumed that it was painted nudes which galvanized the That is Priceless community to more numerous Comments. Now I see that large numbers of people are very eager to reveal their pet peeves â the little things others do, for which we would gladly consign those others to eternal damnation. But this listing of annoyances has led to some lengthy, and fascinating discussions of topics such as: regional variations in pronunciation and usage, the evolution of English over time, Shakespearean vocabulary, etc. I enjoy learning new things and correcting any inaccuracies Iâve picked up over the years, even more than I enjoy having my biases confirmed.
Clearly, the followers of T.I.P. are an unusually knowledgeable and articulate group. May we continue to share our wisdom (along with generating a few smiles) for the foreseeable future!
If anyone needs a summary of Danteâs Divine Comedy, Overly Sarcastic Productions (on YouTube) has a set of videos on each of the three parts. âRedâ, who narrates, is hilarious and presents the action in a succinct, but illustrious, manner. And her drawings of it are great, in a cartoonish fashion!

Hmm, no doubt The Assocition was inspired by this work!
Whoâs peekinâ out from under a stairway
Calling a name thatâs lighter than air
Whoâs bending down to give me a rainbow
Everyone knows itâs Windy
Whoâs tripping down the streets of the city
Smilinâ at everybody she sees
Whoâs reachinâ out to capture a moment
Everyone knows itâs Windy
And Windy has stormy eyes
That flash at the sound of lies
And Windy has wings to fly
Above the clouds (above the clouds)
