I knew a guy who’s brother was an only child.

I was an only child in a family with 6 children. My brother was 8 months older than I was. (What? You’ve never heard of two parents with children remarrying? ;^)

Being the favorite is not all it’s cracked up to be

Then how does he have a nephew?

I was #6 of 7, I was lost in the crowd:-(

I was the last of 5. By then, they’d had it with kids, lol. Seriously, I had a wonderful mom, thank God.

Picky, picky, picky.

When he was just a young egg, Mom named him Humpty, hoping he would fall off a wall.

Some moms aren’t meant to be mothers.

Ouch……

Story of my life — and I was adopted! Yup, mom didn’t like her adopted only child. It took me until later in life to figure it out — she didn’t like herself very much either.

Through my growing up years, I was the younger of two children, an only child, the middle child and then the older of two children. My life was odd.

Sounds like she wasn’t fond of children in general.

My sister and I were lucky – we were both our mother’s favorite child. :)

Six of us kids- 4 left. ( still alive)

I was the first of three and the least liked.

i always mistakenly believed that the free to a good home sign out front referred to the kittens…

I can relate. I was an only child with her second marriage. So I was one of two.

I’m an only child and my kids became my mom’s favorites.

My Dad always told me, “Your a good man. For what, we don’t know?”

Or my Mom would say to me, “I have to pay your six brothers to be good. But you, you’re good for nothing.”

Mom liked me best!
