Still seems like there’s a lot of explaining to do to Baldo, assuming he’s willing to listen.

Why was she “made” to invite Mario instead of binging her boyfriend Baldo

I still think Baldo has the right to be angry with her as she wasn’t being totally being honest with him. Baldo’s girlfriend could at least told him that she’s at a party (or whatever it is) and said that she wished to be alone. Trust is a very big issue in a relationship and that is why my parents stayed married for 65 years before my mother passed away.

Baldo should have stuck around. good girl.

Oh, it’s worse than I thought.

So it is her party. Yeah this is pretty bad. Any excuse she could come up with to explain her thinking to Baldo wouldn’t be enough at this point. I would have to call it quits, but that would be me not Baldo. No telling what he will do.

Okay, there were story possibilities that made sense until today. If Estella is doing the inviting to the party (panel 2) why no Baldo? If this was a party some relative invited her to attend she could have had familial obligations on her, but not if she is a hostess for the party.

Geez, not the old “it’s just a misunderstanding” thing. That trope is so worn out.

Mario is a creep, yet she didn’t invite Baldo.

You got set up girl and willingly entered into that trap. AND the cost will be the diminishing or even a possible total destruction of a good friendship. Hope the excitement was worth it……

at least she was able to defend herself and stop his unwanted advances before things got really uncomfortable for both of them. now comes the hard part; explaining all of this to Baldo when she finds out he saw what was going on. if i were Estela i would be upset that HE didnt do anything to stop it after she found out he saw what happened.

So, she WAS in charge of invites, but didn’t invite her BF.

Still doesn’t explain why she didn’t come clean with Baldo. Somewhat of a red herring.

am I the only one noticing Stella has been pretty much missing since Baldo’s Dad sent her the Baldo pictures… until her party without Baldo being invited that is… and I have to assume it’s her party IF she could be persuaded to invite the guy for her to meet…

Why did Estella go out in the back yard alone with him? Lots of unanswered questions.

First half of mystery solved, now we need Baldo’s half thereof solved.

A couple of weeks ago, Estella snapped at Baldo for not being discreet about something personal. Baldo spent some strips wondering how to deal with that, yet when he went to talk with her, she just dismissed it.

Methinks she had something else in mind, and while things moved far from pleasant at the party, it would seem like she was getting ready to take a new route.

Don’t know why Estella didn’t invite her BF ;but she oughta straighten out her Gf for forcing her to invite that creepy guy. Now since her girl pal was so hot for that guy; Exactly why wasn’t she over there taking care of business with him? (¬_¬)

I think Estella’s family is hosting the party for someone else. That would explain why her friend (? cousin?) was able to ask her to invite Mario. And, if the party is for an embarrassing family member, she wouldn’t want to invite Baldo. She should have told Baldo! But, then we wouldn’t have this story arc.

I wonder if we’ll be told who the blond gal is? Mother?

Sounds like Mario is one of those Relatives that Mom always insists must be invited, even though everyone Hates him.
