What exactly are you going to attach it to?
Splorf? Creative onomatoepoeiae. (Found one dictionary that let me pluralize it like that!)
“Giant prehistoric bug attach itself to a human face? Covered it, because at Farmer’s, we know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two!”
A wind shield? Seems a more accurate name could be giantbugshield.
Maximum size in insects is determined by oxygen levels in the atmosphere.
Instead of “I got bugs in my teeth” it’s “I got my head into a bug’s teeth.”
With a bug that big, you’d better invent the crumple zone…
Damn flying insects!
Hum…. This one has yellow stripes. That impact must have really stung.
Look on the bright side, dude! At least you didn’t happen to swallow it!
That design has a few bugs, though…
Motorcyclists call it “the fifty pound grasshopper”.
“Necessity is the Mother of invention … " ~ Plato
Some days you’re the windshield…..
What’s the last thing to go through a bug’s mind when it hits a windshield?
It’s a$$
How can you tell a happy motorcyclist?
Count the bugs between his teeth.
I don’t usually hit bugs, but since I walk at 5 AM and am sometimes the first person down a particular block since the previous evening, I often faceplant spider webs.

I call them googles 0-0. (Yeah Googles, because someone has to say it.)
SPLORF?
Based on panel #2 shouldn’t he be calling it a bug shield?
I call that a really big bug or a small low flying aircraft…..
Why isn’t it called a, “Bug shield” or a, “Face shield”?
If it’s made of stone, it will be tought to see through!
Wind wasn’t the problem. Shouldn’t it have been called a Bugshield? ;)
In England they call it a wind screen…
You can always single out the happy motorcyclists by the bug splatters on their teeth.
Some big bugs they had in the Miocene
I was out water skiing with some friends once, and the guy skiing ran smack into a seagull! He said it really hurt!
I don’t think that shield would be much help with that bug.
From back when Hondas were only thought of as motorcycles:
Q: How can you tell a happy Honda owner?
A: By the bugs in his teeth.
Looks like a set of lungs hit him in the face.
Where did he get the paper and crayons?
This bugs me!
When I looked at this strip in the paper (B&W) I couldn’t figure out what hit him. I still don’t but it is obviously alive.
Getting hit with a bug at 70 miles an hour stings.
Given the motivation, insect shield would be more appropriate
Or a splorf shield
