Failed that test Earl

My lower back pains me. I need to sit frequently for a brief break when using the vacuum. Sometimes I will take a pain killer before vacuuming. When I am doing the dishes sometimes I sit on a stool to dry them. Aging sucks!

My ex mother-in-law used a similar strategy on her husband. She’d start doing something but do it “wrong” and he’d take over.

Guess who just took over vacuuming upstairs ten minutes ago! The circuit breaker tripped because the old upstairs vacuum cleaner bogs down if you don’t lift the beater off the carpet. I show her and I show her…

I don’t have a vacuum cleaner. When my apartment gets really grubby, my occasional housekeeper comes over and scrubs my place from top to bottom. Living in Mexico I can afford her services. If I were still living in the States, it would all be up to me.

That’s what I used to do at work when it was my turn to clean the kitchen. I would walk around the kitchen looking puzzled, and two or three women would come in and help me, by doing almost everything.

There is why men answer to women!

Reminds me of my mother. But my dad would have never vacuumed.

My Father and Grandfather vacuumed the carpets, washed the kitchen floor in order to give my Mom and Grandmother a break. My Dad would sing the jazz tune mop, mop while mopping.

Technically, she isn’t vacuuming the floor. What she’s doing is having it vacuumed.

It was bad enough when I could relate to Earl, but now Opal sounds like my wife!
