The major insight  here is to realize that if you don’t like to be bored, then you shouldn’t put effort into seeming cool.

I think he got this from “Joe Cool” Snoopy (minus the beret).

So true. I totally get it. The trouble is, if you think your cool, you’re probably not.

I disagree. I’m “The World’s Coolest Dad” (got the t-shirt), and I don’t find the world “boring”…

Boy, what wouldn’t I give to see the world we now live in as boring.

I was cool for about 25 years. Then I moved from Northern Alberta to North Carolina.

I was never cool and didn’t care about it. Too busy having a wonderful life.

The thing about being “cool” is that if you try to be “cool”, then you’re not “cool”.

Enjoy your youth, Have adventures without leaving your neighborhood. Ride bicycles, climb trees, build sand castles in the sand box. Just get outdoors more often and enjoy fresh air and sunshine.

Naw just be cool, dude!

This week has some great strips that show how asinine and arbitrary being ‘cool’ is.

One of my C&H faves is coming up with this ‘cool’ storyline.

Those drooping eyelids and standing posture of Calvin are indeed coool.

I am the the total opposite,. I am out and about. I meet and greet people on the street. I pick up trash and put it in the garbage can. I find coins, pens, pencils, and stuff. Lots of lonely people out there in need of a smile.
