These impatient people today – but eventually even he will realize that it would have been easier if he had taken the minute to take off the 100-pound pack beforehand
Grammar indeed is important. Capitalization makes the difference between “helping your Uncle Jack off a horse” and “helping your uncle jack off a horse.”
This joke is set in the mid-18th Century. Some elements of language have been revised to reflect modern sensitivities.
An Englishman, lecturing on his travels, was speaking disparagingly about the Scots and French in Canada, and how they intermarried with the Native Americans. “You’ll find,” he said, “quite a number of Scot or French babies produced from a Native American mother, but you will not find any English babies produced from such a union.”
A Scot in the audience shouted, “The Native Americans had to draw the line somewhere!”
Jonathan Young is drawn performing chin-ups, palms facing you. I wonder if he could perform the same number of pull-ups, palms facing away? I find body weight pull-ups to be more difficult to perform than chin-ups. You have to be a very strong individual to do these exercises at all, much less with 100 lbs hanging on you.
Isn’t charcuterie a pretentious word for snack tray. And why is a barista someone who makes my coffee at Starbucks but the person who makes my coffee at McDonald’s isn’t.
I once read in the Guinness book, the most costly typo was some misplaced comma in a computer program used in a failed early rocket launch, and was responsible for the destruction of the rocket
A missing letter in a note is just as bad. Consider this: a man went to Florida for a sales convention. He sent a postcard to his wife saying, “Having a good time at the convention. Wish you were here.” He left off the ‘e’ on here!!!

Yonathan Joung once did 16 chin-ups whilst wearing a 101-lb. pack. (I’d like to see this Aussie apostrophe mishap.)

See, if Jonathan had just gained 100 pounds first, he never would’ve needed that pack in the first place.

I can do 1.5 chin-ups with the 100 lb pack in a minute (give or take 1)

My Gramma mattered a lot. She never had to say so, though.
Take care, may award winning projectile vomiting champion Lulu “Don’t Go For Distance Just Go For Height” Yahurrellp be with you, and gesundheit.

Apostrophes are no part of grammar. They are a feature of orthography. It’s high time that people learned the difference.

Until next time.

I believe that chin-ups (calisthenics) with a back pack is common in US Special Forces training.
