The Wizard is going to need a lot bigger and longer cannon to get anything even into orbit, let alone reaching escape velocity.

At the 10th Gun Dynamics Symposium (2002) we had a Gun Launch to Orbit session. It is a very cheap way to get stuff to orbit, if you can deal with the g loads.

Also Gerald Bull ran the High Altitude Research Program (HARP) that was about seeing how high you can get with gun launch. He welded two 16” cannons together for it
