I absolutely and sadly have to agree with the sentiment of the first panel. Comments from thirty years plus previous, intended with sincerity and actual humor would go down in flaming and frosty replies.

But the following two panels ran off the rails.

It had rankled me because I was earlier recalling one of my IMHO funniest original jokes that now has the potential to offend.

I’m with Pig on this one.

Soon insulting Alexa, Siri, Cortana, et al may be a crime or at least get you a reprimand.

I remember a case of reverse Cheese Wiz discrimination. Many years ago, a presidential candidate campaigning in Philadelphia was criticized for ordering a Philly cheese steak with Swiss cheese instead of the traditional Cheese Wiz. The heck with authenticity, that’s what I would have ordered too.

What about easy cheese?

Our cat would have agreed with Rat. He recognized the sound of the “squirt” and would come running. For that matter, there is a certain je ne sais quoi to processed cheese that matches nicely with cheap wine and Town House crackers.

Hmmm! This is interesting because my father raised hogs and they would eat literally anything offered them, including lumps of coal!So, you can see why I’m surprised to discover that some pigs are cheese snobs! ;o}

I don’t know if it’s “cheese” but it has milk in it making it a dairy product and unsafe for my consumption since I have a dairy allergy. You’d be surprised how hard it is for some people to grasp that all products from an animals mammary gland counts as dairy.

Cheez Whiz has gone way downhill since I was in college. The taste and mouth feel are very different. Possibly more modified food starch?

Mr. Pastis – I believe we think alike here. Although you purposely skirt a lot of political issues, you do frequently infer. Funny how the people pointing the finger at others and shouting “Intolerant” are themselves intolerant of those with opposing viewpoints!

Fortunately, Pastis doesn’t have a reputation worth saving.

It is true that expressions of “different thoughts” can indeed get you in trouble, but that is generally only if those thoughts are those of racists and bigots or speaking of overthrowing our government by force or murdering people.

Along almost those exact same lines, sometimes, for some purposes, I like Velveeta better than actual cheese.

Me,I’m a Stilton freak.Alas,it ships by package poorly.

I doubt if he’s tried every type of cheese.
