I would damn well wear four life vests if it would save my life. Seems very logical to me to protect my health. Many health professionals in my family. Give them all a break and save hospital space by getting vaxxed. Give them and the rest of us a better new year.

Of course Mr. Lester has it all backwards here, non-vaccinated people are more at risk of dying from the virus. For the most part, I don’t care much if they do. What I care about is putting an end to this pandemic.

Smallpox would still be around if Lester had his way.

It is not only anti – vaccine logic but republigoon logic as well! The thing I find interesting is, the republigoon sycophants / apologists that post in these threads get real testy when you ask them if they have had their shots. They will either ignore the question or try to insult you. They should be proud, like I am, to be vaccinated against this crap, but they are not. Very telling.

Covid is a communicable disease! That means it has the potential to spread from one infected person to everyone they come in contact with!

But you can’t tell anti-vaxxers to care about anyone but themselves, and you can’t tell Mike Lester to stop being such a moron.

To make this toon accurate, there would need to be a hole in the boat, the men inside of it would need to be handcuffed to each other, and the one without a life vest would need to have an anvil tied to his waist.

Only a fool would not wear a lifejacket while in a canoe.. in stormy weather. And.. if it takes 4 (or more) lifejackets to survive the storm, surviving is the goal afterall.

Diseases mutate. Respiratory viruses do so frequently. The flu vaccine is a crap shoot; doctors predict 18 months in advance which strains of flu they think will be problematic present day but do miss the mark. Future Covid vaccines are looking like they will be the same but it shouldn’t stop people from getting them.

Force a “vaccine” on people without knowing what’s in it, the manufacturers have ZERO liability, information is sealed for 55 years, needs a “booster” every 6 months for a virus that kills 1% of a population of dying people.

Malicious Mike shows he does not understand the logic of masking. A surgical mask is worn in an operating room to protect the patient from infections that may be caused by bacteria that spews from your nose and mouth. It does not protect the doctors. Wearing a mask during a pandemic where the primary means of contagion is through the air cuts down on the distance the virus can travel. It is a proven method of reducing the spread of such pathogens.

As an avid kayaker of many years I can tell you that the laws on PFD (personal flotation devices) say you don’t have to wear one unless your a child. However, you’re fool if you don’t.

From previous pronouncements from Lester, he does not believe this, but it is what he is paid to produce. That just makes it worse.

Oh, please. You have a cartoon like this, yet you still apply your Propecia every day, you have to keep taking your Viagra, your cholesterol medicine, your blood pressure medicine… How come you can’t take just one pill and not have to take it ever again? Because that’s not how this works.

Here in DC, our Mayor (Muriel Bowser) has reinstituted the mandate on wearing masks in indoor public spaces like supermarkets and gyms until at least 01/31/22. My hope is that the wave in Covid cases will crest and recede like it has in South Africa and appears to be doing in the UK and Denmark as well. Hopefully this drop in cases will extend to other European countries as well as the US and Canada. But until that does, any effort to stem the tide of cases is welcome. And, if you haven’t, get your booster before the new year and if you are going somewhere for the holidays get tested. My brother and I both got tested, and our tests came back negative so we’re good to go. My nephew in NYC I found out got Covid but he’s asymptomatic. He’ll be OK, but he’ll have to self quarantine during Xmas. But I’ll be celebrating with my family.

Sometime I think Mr. Lester just puts stuff out just to get more comments. I would like to believe Mike believes vaccines are a good thing (maybe?). But since he got no comments on yesterday’s comic, he had to crank up the troll machine.
