Anyone read The Martian author Andy Weir’s latest Project Hail Mary? Can’t help thinking now of the two main characters in that story when looking at Danae and Lars.
Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind. The kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday. THE SUNSCREEN SONG
This is a common ailment of many a person. They stress over many things, some they cannot control, some they can control. Anxiety is of fun. If there is something up there to worry about, evaluate if you can do anything about it, if not, then find something else to stress over, if yes, figure a way to resolve the issue
Serenity prayer comes to mind. God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,Courage to change the things I can, andWisdom to know the difference
Count Olaf is trying so hard to get a rise this morning, and failing miserably, LOL.“We had all better hope that there’s intelligent life in space, because there’s bugger all down here on Earth”!
Step 1: Notice that the comment is itself trollish. Dead giveaways: (a) Introduces politics into a non-political discussion. (b) Mentions a race-car driver in a context that doesn’t involve car races.
Step 2: Practice your self-control. Let it go. Yes, we all know how tempting it is. Let it go anyway.

Lars lives in an isolation bubble and dwells in a sewer. An obvious left wing liberal.

Lars is right on! Human Nature, will be the death of us all, IF we do not get a first class education!

Don’t worry about the small stuff. It’s all small stuff. The big stuff takes care of itself.

People who worry about the future get there at exactly the same time as those who don’t. Usually, in better cars.

But how does one know if something is out of one’s control unless one “worries” about enough to think through the possibilities?

If you can do something about it, do it! If you can’t, don’t waste brain cycles on it.
