It’s a long shot here, and I may be wrong, just a wild guess, but I think Tommy might have named the cat tower.

Georgia posted on Facebook that she took last week off and that her editor picked some classic Lupin strips to rerun. They will be the dailies for the week of Jan 31 and the Sunday strip for 2/27.

Too bad Tommy’s sweet little hammock was converted to a dingy (As @SueEllen says) But he is closer to Sophie, so I think he’s a happy cat, too!

Ooohhhh, the penny finally drops….Tommy wasn’t trying to climb higher on the tree, he was trying to extricate himself from the overly stretchy hammock! Congrats for achieving a stable perch with Sophie’s help and for a long voyage on the SS Friendship!

I see that Lupin, Tommy and Sophie are blissfully happy. Pucky, not so much.

OT:

So, after promising myself that I would NOT adopt a senior cat, I’ve gone and fallen in love with a recent rescue. I’ve already applied to adopt her, but it’ll probably be a couple of months before she’ll be ready for adoption. She was found by some constructions workers who had been hired to gut an empty house. The living conditions she was abandoned in were horrendous, and she had a huge cyst hanging off her belly. She has been shaved, and the cyst drained and removed. And I’m in love and I want her.

Sophie’s outstretched paw yesterday reminded me of something but couldn’t figure out what. Finally hit me it was like the scene in North by Northwest with Cary Grant on Mt Rushmore .

They are finally happy. Good.

Aw, I am a sucker for a good Tommy and Sophie moment. Their part was my favorite of the second (in newspapers third) Christmas arc.

Oh my Cat! We’ve almost missed a special cat celebration. It’s “Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day!” We are supposed to pay attention to our cats’ behavior and look at the world through their eyes. We have a head start with all the great cat cartoons here.

Wilamena the Radio Cat would see Beta on a pillow and it would immediately occur to her that he should share.

“I bet that pillow is big enough for two cats.” she obviously thought, as she clambered up beside him.

“Wha?” he would murmur in his sleep.

First, she would cuddle, then she would stretch a little, then a lot, until suddenly Beta would be rolling off and find himself standing next to the pillow.

“I guess I was wrong.” Wilamena would think, as she spread all her toes and luxuriated in the lovely, pre-warmed bed.

May all their seas be calm, and the sunsets glorious!

OT, Betty White Challenge….just saw results locally. The Dubuque Regional Humane Society in Iowa was gifted a total of $13,000 from 350 donations.

I’m so glad Georgia is taking a break. Im sure it’s been hard losing Lupin and she deserves to have some self care. Much love to her and her family!

Puck’s look is very similar to PC’s this afternoon. Mac has really been into laying on top of her in their hammock lately. I think she thought was safe this afternoon after he moved to the top level after the first time he laid down and she started to get up, but then when she laid back down he came back. He probably just wants to be close to his sister, but with him being around 12 pounds and her being only about 8 I can see why she might not be overly trilled.

Better, Sophie. Much better. Now you two look kinda like Bandit and DC. Except DC’s more Tommy without the fluff. And he demands the crows nest while Bandit get’s the tunnel/tube.
